“This year, we have completed the preparations for the holy month of Ramadan to act as a bridge between benefactors and the needy,” Salih Güzel, the head of Hope Caravan Foundation’s Batman branch, told Ilke News Agency.
Stating that as the Hope Caravan Foundation, their humanitarian aid efforts continue uninterruptedly throughout the year, Güzel continued: “However, we usually scale up our efforts in particular times such as the holy months of Ramadan, Eid al-Adha, and Eid al Fitr. At the same time, we have intensified our charitable activities in the earthquake-stricken provinces this year. We continue to work together to heal the wounds of our brothers and sisters who were affected by the earthquake since the first hours of the earthquake, by standing by them financially and morally.”
“We will provide daily iftar meals to 750 people during Ramadan”
“This year, we have completed the preparations for the holy month of Ramadan to act as a bridge between benefactors and the needy. We will set up a tent to provide daily iftar meals to 750 people in need, including earthquake victims, during Ramadan,” Güzel said.
“There are thousands of earthquake victims and the needy waiting for food parcels”
“There are many earthquake victims coming to our city from the earthquake-hit cities. In addition, there are thousands of our brothers and sisters, who are found to be in need. With the contributions of our donors, we have started the distribution of 3,000 food parcels, which consist of basic foodstuffs. However, due to our limited financial resources, we have difficulties in meeting these demands. We expect support from benefactors. We have full faith that our benefactors will do their part again this Ramadan,” he added. (ILKHA)
