HÜDA PAR Chairman visits flood victims in southeastern Türkiye

HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu and an accompanying delegation visited Türkiye’s southeastern Şanlıurfa province where flash floods triggered by heavy rains killed at least 16 people last week.

Yapıcıoğlu met with people to lend an ear to their problems in the inundated city of Şanlıurfa where floods claimed lives and caused destruction

Yapıcıoğlu received information from the mayor of Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül, about the works carried out in the neighborhoods affected by the deadly floods.

He paid a visit to the Hope Caravan Foundation, which rushed to help the earthquake-affected people and flood victims, and met the needs of the citizens, garnering appreciation across Türkiye for the aid they provided.

Yapıcıoğlu paid a condolence visit to the families of the citizens who died in the floods and offered his condolences to the bereaved families.

On March 15, a series of devastating floods occurred in two Türkiye’s southeastern provinces, Şanlıurfa and Adıyaman.

The floods were caused by torrential rains that occurred just one month after a deadly earthquake struck the same regions

At least 18 people died in the floods; 16 in Şanlıurfa and two in Adıyaman, according to Turkish officials. (ILKHA)
