Speaking at the ceremony, Erdoğan underscored that the Plant would increase the added value of boron, one of Türkiye’s strategic products, by three-hundredfold, and said: “Bandırma Boron Carbide Production Plant, whose investment value approximates 80 million dollars, will be our country’s first, and the world’s one of the limited number of facilities in this area.”
Drawing attention to overt and covert embargoes Türkiye was faced with on every critical product, the defense industry’s needs in particular, Erdoğan noted: “Therefore, we now support all of the investments that will first of all meet our own needs, and then contribute to us having a share in world markets in every area. Merely the works carried out within Eti Maden are each a success story all by themselves. In addition to boron carbide, concrete steps will be taken soon in producing lithium from liquid carbide as well.”
“We are determined to mobilize our country’s all values through a system stretching from raw material to final production,” Erdoğan stressed. (ILKHA)
