Islamic Emirate wants to expand ties with Islamic Countries, Foreign minister says

At the meeting, the sides focused on the interaction of political, economic, and social sectors, Afghan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“The Islamic Emirate wants to expand ties with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Islamic countries to achieve constructive interaction in the field of political, and economic society,” Muttaqi said

“A great opportunity has been developed in Afghanistan and security has been ensured throughout the country,” he added.

Muttaqi noted that he hopes that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will support Afghanistan in different areas and play its role in expanding relations between the Islamic Emirate and the Islamic world.

For his part, Tariq Ali Bakheet, the special representative of the OIC in Afghanistan, confirmed that several basic projects will be conducted in Afghanistan.

He said that a special delegation will visit Afghanistan to assess the needs in different sectors and to provide more humanitarian aid to Afghans. (ILKHA)
