Afghanistan’s Information and Culture Minister meets EU special political envoy in Kabul

Khairkhah thanked European representatives for their cooperation. Two sides discussed the issues, including the political developments in Afghanistan, according to a statement by the ministry.

Khairkhah said that freedom of expression is supported based on the Islamic values and national interests of the country, adding historical heritage preserved.

He asked the European Union’s representatives to support media and journalists financially.

Nicholson exchanged views on the preservation of cultural and historical heritage, and freedom of expression, mainly the activity of the Commission on Media Violation (CMV).

In the end, Minister Khairkhah assured addressing the problems of media in the country and full cooperation. (ILKHA)
