A 5.7 earthquake occurs near Oaxaca, Mexico

The epicenter was about 8 km (5 miles) west-southwest of San Pedro Tapanatepec.

The quake was at a depth of about 88, USGS said.

There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake. (ILKHA)
