Police in Colombia seize more than 8 tons of cocaine

The operation was carried out against drug dealers in the town of Hacari in the Catatumbo region of the northern Santander region.

More than 8 tons of cocaine were seized in the operation. 16 suspects were arrested on drug charges, officials said.

It has been the biggest single seizure of cocaine this year, they noted. (ILKHA)
