Sheikh Sabri: Bab al-Rahma will always be open for Muslim worshippers

Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, has stressed that the Bab al-Rahma prayer area constitutes an inseparable part of the Al-Aqsa, adding that it will always be open despite the repeated Israeli attempts to re-close it.

In a press statement on Thursday, Sheikh Sabri said that Muslim worshippers will continue to protect the Bab al-Rahma area and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, affirming that the area has been re-opened four years ago and will never close again.

Sheikh Sabri warned that Israel would escalate their attacks against Muslim worshippers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque as the Holy month of Ramadan approaches.

Concerns about the Bab al-Rahma prayer area grew as cracks appeared on its surface after zionist occupation authorities banned its renovation and restoration.

In 2019, the Palestinian Jerusalemites managed to re-open the Bab al-Rahma prayer area after it had been closed by the Israeli police for 16 years. (ILKHA)
