OIC Chief arrives in Türkiye to visit earthquake-stricken areas

“Hissein Brahim Taha, the OIC Secretary-General, arrived in Ankara, at the beginning of his visit to the Republic of Türkiye, to assess the situation in the south of Türkiye in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck the region,” the organization said in a statement on Twitter.

During the tour, the Secretary-General will meet a number of Turkish officials, visit the injured earthquake victims and the displaced, and learn about the great efforts made by the rescue teams in rescuing those trapped under the rubble, according to the statement. (ILKHA)
