International community continues to send humanitarian aid to earthquake-stricken Türkiye

Disaster relief in kind and cash continue to pour in from around the world for those devastated by the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye, affecting 10 provinces.

Relief in kind and cash continues to pour in from many countries, including Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Norway, Kazakhstan, Spain, the Government of National Unity of Libya, Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the victims of the earthquakes, which are described as the 'disaster of the century'. Some of the aid focuses on the reconstruction of the region, while others promote the employment of earthquake victims in disaster-affected areas.

In addition to the financial support sent to the disaster area, Australia and Austria conveyed their messages of condolences.

World-leading institutions and organizations, including NATO, Metallica-All Within My Hands (AWMH), Italian professional football league Serie A and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), expressed their condolences for the earthquake victims in the disaster areas and provided aid in kind and cash. Servier Group, one of the leading companies in the global world market, also provided cash relief to the affected areas.

World-famous celebrities, including Metallica, Patti Smith, Erbolat Tölepbay, Eljif Elmas, Gheorghe Hagi, Gica Popescu and Mame Thiam, shared posts on their social media accounts requesting assistance for the disaster area. (ILKHA)
