More than 300 people killed after powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake hits southeastern Türkiye

At least 300 people were killed and more than 2,300 others injured after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Türkiye.

Turkish officials confirmed more than 300 deaths so far and 10 cities hit, including Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, Kilis, Adana, Osmaniye, and Diyarbakir.

At least 230 people were killed in Syria’s provinces of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama, and Tartus, according to media reports.

There are fears the death toll will rise sharply in the coming hours.

Search and Rescue teams have been deployed to search for survivors under huge piles of rubble. (ILKHA)
