Istanbul Airport ranks first in Europe with the number of daily flights

Istanbul International Airport surpassed London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports, according to a report by the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL).

The report stated that Istanbul Airport witnessed an average of 1,229 daily flights in the mentioned period, while London Heathrow Airport witnessed 1,104 daily flights, ranking second in Europe.

Istanbul Airport is the main international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey.

It serves more than 350 domestic and international destinations in 110 countries, while its duty-free area is one of the largest worldwide. (ILKHA)
