Islamic Emirate condemns attack on mosque in Peshawar

“We are saddened to learn that numerous people lost their lives and many others were injured by an explosion in a mosque in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday,” said Afghanistan Foreign Ministry in a statement.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan condemns the attack on the worshipers in the mosques and deems such actions to be in contradiction to the teaching of the Holy religion of Islam, the statement added,” the ministry added.

On Monday, a suicide bombing took place inside a mosque in the Police Lines area of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

The attacker detonated the bomb during Zuhr prayers, killing at least 90 people and injuring over 170 others, including seven in critical condition. (ILKHA)
