Heavy snowfall blocks roads in eastern Türkiye

At least 345 roads were shut down to motor vehicle traffic due to heavy snowfall in the province which has seen freezing temperatures in recent days, according to local officials.

The teams are reportedly still working to open the roads and plow the snow on roads and pavements across the province.

The officials warned citizens and drivers against interruptions in transportation, ice, and frost on the roads, and snow storms and avalanche hazard in high and steep mountainous regions of the province. (ILKHA)
