About 1.9 million new COVID-19 cases reported last week, WHO says

“In the last 28 days (26 December 2022 to 22 January 2023), over 11 million cases and over 55 000 new deaths were reported globally – a decrease of 25% and an increase of 13%, respectively, compared to the previous 28 days,” World Health Organization said.

The organization noted that over 664 million confirmed cases and over 6.7 million deaths have been reported globally. (ILKHA)
