Azerbaijani president Aliyev meets his Lithuanian counterpart in Davos

During the meeting, two leaders exchanged views on regional issues, the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, negotiations on a peace agreement, as well as the developments taking place on the Lachin-Khankandi road, according to a statement by the Azerbaijani presidency.

Aliyev drew attention to the importance of ending the illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan's natural resources and the removal of criminal elements from the territory where Russian peacekeeping forces are temporarily stationed.

Aliyev also stated that the Armenian side has been using the Lachin road for the transportation of mines, weapons and personnel for more than two years.

For his part, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda recalled with pleasure his last year's visit to Azerbaijan and noted that during the visit he had extensive discussions with President Ilham Aliyev on the development of bilateral relations between our countries.

Meanwhile, President Gitanas Nauseda invited President Ilham Aliyev to visit Lithuania during the meeting. (ILKHA)
