The call addressed the Türkiye-Russia relations, energy in particular, as well as regional matters, including the Russia-Ukraine war and Syria, according to a statement by Turkish presidency.

Noting that they have and continue to strengthen the infrastructure for establishing a natural gas hub in Türkiye, Erdoğan said that they aim to complete the roadmap on this issue as soon as possible, and take concrete steps to implement it.

Recalling that they witnessed the positive results of the negotiations on the Russia-Ukraine war in such initiatives as the grain corridor, prisoner exchange and safety zone around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant, Erdoğan said that calls for peace and negotiations should be supported with unilateral ceasefire and a vision for a fair solution.

Underscoring that concrete steps must now be taken to clear the PKK/PYD/YPG organization from Türkiye's border areas, especially from Tal Rifaat and Manbij, Erdoğan said that in order to achieve concrete results about Syria, the regime should be constructive and realize certain steps in the political process.
