IHH opens orphanage complex in Niger

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, an Istanbul-based international NGO, opened a huge orphanage complex where nearly 120 children will be housed and educated in a safe environment.

An inauguration ceremony was held for the orphanage complex, which has been built in the Kollo region, 10 kilometers from Niger's capital, Niamey.

Turkey's Ambassador to Niamey, Özgür Çınar, the Minister of Women's Promotion and Child Protection of Niger, Allahoury Aminata Zourkaleini, IHH officials, and local people participated in the ceremony.

The complex has a primary school, a secondary school, a high school, a mosque, a health clinic, playgrounds, and a cultural center, the IHH said in a statement. (ILKHA)
