At least 27 people injured as stand collapses during basketball game in Egypt

The incident occurred during the Super Cup match between Cairo's Al-Ahly and Ittihad of Alexandria following a stampede in the stands, officials said.

More than 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to transfer the injured to hospitals, the health ministry said.

The match at the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall was called off following the incident, according to local sources. (ILKHA)
