Türkiye’s road motor vehicle registrations jump 20 pct in November

In November, 122 thousand 837 road motor vehicle registrations were recorded, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement On Friday.

Regarding the vehicle registrations in November, cars accounted for 45.1%, followed by motorcycles 30.2%, small trucks 14.4%, tractors 6.4%, trucks 2.9%, minibuses 0.5%, buses 0.4% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.

The number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 20.0% compared with the previous month

 In November, compared to the previous month, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 56.5% for minibuses, 26.5% for cars, 19.8% for trucks, 17.9% for motorcycles, 15.3% for tractors, 14.9% for special purpose vehicles, 8.6% for buses and 7.8% for small trucks.

The number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 38.4% compared to the same month of the previous year

In November, compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 94.0% for motorcycles, 69.1% for minibuses, 33.3% for special purpose vehicles, 26.8% for buses, 26.5% for cars, 26.1% for trucks, 17.6% for small trucks, 10.6% for tractors.

At the end of November, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 26 million 349 thousand 156

At the end of November, cars represented 53.9%, small trucks 16.2%, motorcycles 15.5%, tractors 7.9%, trucks 3.5%, minibuses 1.9%, buses 0.8% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

868 thousand 1 road motor vehicles were handed over in November

Among vehicles handed over in November, cars accounted for 66.8% followed by small trucks 16.6%, motorcycles 6.7%, tractors 4.6%, trucks 2.7%, minibuses 1.8%, buses 0.6% and special purpose vehicles 0.2%.

In November, 55 thousand 442 cars were registered to the traffic

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in November, Fiat recorded 16.4%, Renault 10.3%, Dacia 7.0%, Volkswagen 6.0%, Toyota 5.8%, Hyundai 5.6%, Peugeot 4.8%, Mercedes-Benz 4.7%, Opel 4.6%, BMW 4.3%, Honda 4.2%, Kia 4.1%, Citroen 3.8%, Audi 3.0%, Skoda 3.0%, Nissan 2.2%, Volvo 2.1%, Ford 2.0%, Suzuki 1.1%, Seat 0.8% and the other trademarks 3.9% of the total.        

In the period of January-November, 1 million 132 thousand 739 road motor vehicles were registered

In January-November period, compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of registered vehicles increased by 4.2% and became 1 million 132 thousand 739, while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 15.0% and became 32 thousand 118. Hence, in the period of January-November the increase in motor vehicles registered became 1 million 100 thousand 621. 

In the period of January-November, the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 70.2%

Among 509 thousand 774 cars registered in the period of January-November, the share of gasoline-fuelled cars was 70.2% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 17.9%, hybrid cars with 8.5%, LPG-fuelled cars with 2.0% and electric cars with 1.4%. At the end of November, among 14 million 213 thousand 13 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 36.9% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 35.1% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 26.7%. The share of electric cars was 0.9% and hybrid cars was 0.1%. The cars with unknown fuel type was 0.3%.

Most frequent engine size was 1300 or less for registered cars in January-November period

Within 509 thousand 774 cars registered to traffic in January-November period, 31.3% had 1300 or less, 27.1% had 1401-1500, 24.4% had 1301-1400, 9.2% had 1501-1600, 5.8% had 1601-2000, 0.8% had 2001 and above engine size.

In January-November period 203 thousand 400 of cars registered were white

Within 509 thousand 774 cars registered to traffic in January-November period, 39.9% of them were white, 28.5% were grey, 11.4% were blue, 7.7% were black, 7.2% were red, 2.6% were orange, 1.4% were green, 0.7% were brown and 0.6% were yellow. (ILKHA)
