Addressing the Women's Labor Summit, Erdoğan said: “Our women have contributed to all the reforms we have implemented over the past two decades, just like in all the democracy and development initiatives of our country.”

Expressing his hope that the “Women’s Labor, Türkiye’s Future” project, initiated in order to support women who have an idea, who work, produce, and who exert efforts not only to live but also to make others live, will lead to favorable developments, Erdoğan said: “As part of the project, our friends have met with, motivated, guided, and supported over 45 thousand women who want to start a business, expand their businesses, or take up a profession all across the country. Such stories emerged during the meetings held in this context that it is impossible not to admire our women’s determination, perseverance and resolve.”

“We are determined to lend our women more support”

“Our women have contributed to all the reforms we have implemented over the past two decades, just like in all the democracy and development initiatives of our country,” the President said. “Inshallah, we will build the Century of Türkiye together with you. In this scope, we are determined to lend our women more support. We are glad to see that a significant portion of our entrepreneurial incentives and rural development subsidies are utilized by women.”

Adding that he also wants to take this opportunity to give some more good news to the real sector, Erdoğan stated: “We have taken another step that would allow our businesses to utilize more effectively the loans provided to them with a fund of 200 billion liras through the treasury-supported surety system. We are increasing the efficacy of the system by putting into use methods as well that would solve the problems that arise particularly from invoice cancellations. We are providing treasury-supported surety with a minimum rate of 75% for businesses which have high credibility but lack the sufficient guarantee.”

Erdoğan continued as follows: “We of course have not forgotten our women. In this context, we have allocated a surety package of 2 billion liras to women entrepreneurs and women’s cooperatives. I wish the new support package, which covers a large spectrum from administration to projects, energy to technology, and digital transformation to housing, will be auspicious for our country. We continue to consolidate the Türkiye Economy Model, led by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, with new steps and initiatives continuously. As is seen, we attach special importance to taking affirmative action in every area to help women focus their energy and efforts on their dreams.” (ILKHA)
