Two international agreements signed by Türkiye promulgated in Official Gazette

Two international agreements ratified by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have been promulgated in the Official Gazette.

The "Memorandum of Understanding between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Cooperation in the Field of Energy," signed on November 24, 2021 in Ankara by Türkiye and the UAE, was ratified and published in the Official Gazette.

The MoU addresses cooperation in the oil and gas, clean energy technologies, energy efficiency, hydrogen, and mining sectors with the goal of establishing a framework for the development of cooperation in good faith in the energy sector and encouraging the exchange of know-how, advice, skills, and expertise between the parties.

The "Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye on Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments" signed in Minsk on February 14, 2018 was also ratified and published in the Official Gazette.

This agreement aims to ensure that investors from both countries are treated fairly, provided with full protection and security, and treated in accordance with international legal standards. (ILKHA)
