Reminding that dozens of people lost their lives in a fire in a building in the city of Urumqi, East Turkestan, Ramanlı said that the Chinese administration, which has been carrying out ethnic, religious, and cultural assimilation against the Uyghurs for years and imprisoning millions of people in concentration camps under the name of education, has increased the severity of the persecution.
Ramanlı said that while people were left to die in their homes within the scope of the so-called anti-epidemic policy, Muslims were most affected by the repression policy.
Reacting to the blocking of Chinese protests in Turkey, Ramanlı said: "While Turkey should be the leading country in the fight against Chinese oppression, it is unacceptable even to prevent protests against China. Islamic countries, which have remained silent about China's persecution of Muslims until today, once again left the Uyghur Muslims at the mercy of the cruel administration. The silence of the world puts the lives of millions of Uyghur Muslims in danger and encourages China. In accordance with its founding mission, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should protect Uyghur Muslims and take immediate action to impose deterrent sanctions on China.”
"There should be solidarity with Afghanistan"
Ramanlı pointed out the problems faced by Afghanistan and concluded his remarks as follows:
"The United States is trying to punish the Afghan people, which they could not bring to their knees with the occupation, with an economic, political, military embargo and actions that aim at the country's stability. The United Nations Special Envoy to Afghanistan announced that 6 million people in the country are facing emergency food insecurity, and 768 million dollars are needed to overcome this situation. With the withdrawal of the invading USA on August 15, 2021, international aid to Afghanistan was interrupted, while the USA seized $ 9 billion belonging to Afghanistan. Even one-tenth of this money will be enough to meet the food needs of 6 million people who are in need today.
Afghan people are going through a difficult and troublesome period due to poverty and terrorist acts. On 30 November, 23 female students died and 30 were injured in a bomb attack on a school where female students were educated in Aybek city of Samangan province. We condemn and reprobate this heinous attack. May Allah have mercy on the oppressed who were brutally murdered, we offer our sympathies and condolences to their families and the people of Afghanistan.
Once again, we call on Islamic countries, especially Turkey, to improve their relations with Afghanistan in every field so that it can stand on its own feet, and to be in solidarity with the Afghan government against terrorist acts." (ILKHA)
