Afghan Foreign Minister calls on Islamic countries to invest in his country

Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has met with Tarig Bakheet, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s special envoy to Kabul, the Ministry said in a statement.

At the meeting, which was held in the Foreign Ministry office in Kabul, Muttaqi asked the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to invest in Afghanistan.

Bakheet called the aim of his visit to Afghanistan the implementation of the resolutions of the extraordinary meeting of the foreign ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan and the official opening of the office of the organization in Kabul.

Muttaqi assured to provide all facilities for the representative office of this organization in Kabul.

The meeting, according to the Ministry further discussed the establishment of the International Islamic University in Afghanistan by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the restarting of the process of determining Kabul as the cultural capital of Islamic countries for 2024 and other issues.
