New motor vehicle registrations in Türkiye down 0.1 percent in October

In October, 102 thousand 403 road motor vehicle registrations were recorded, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Wednesday.

Regarding the vehicle registrations in October, cars accounted for 42.8%, followed by motorcycles 30.7%, small trucks 16.0%, tractors 6.7%, trucks 2.9%, buses 0.4%, minibuses 0.4% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.

The number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 0.1% compared with the previous month

In October, compared to the previous month, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 15.2% for minibuses, 14.1% for small trucks, 11.0% for special purpose vehicles, 10.0% for cars, 5.6% for buses and 3.5% for tractors while it decreased 15.9% for motorcycles and 14.1% for trucks.

The number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 19.5% compared to the same month of the previous year

In October, compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 61.3% for motorcycles, 28.3% for buses, 24.0% for small trucks, 16.0% for trucks, 14.5% for tractors, 0.6% for cars while it decreased by 25.7% for special purpose vehicles and 7.8% for minibuses.

At the end of October, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 26 million 229 thousand 1

At the end of October, cars represented 54.0%, small trucks 16.1%, motorcycles 15.5%, tractors 7.9%, trucks 3.5%, minibuses 1.9%, buses 0.8% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

762 thousand 921 road motor vehicles were handed over in October

Among vehicles handed over in October, cars accounted for 65.6% followed by small trucks 16.8%, motorcycles 8.1%, tractors 4.2%, trucks 2.6%, minibuses 1.9%, buses 0.6% and special purpose vehicles 0.2%.

In October, 43 thousand 819 cars were registered to the traffic

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in October, Fiat recorded 16.8%, Renault 10.9%, Volkswagen 8.1%, Hyundai 7.1%, Dacia 6.8%, BMW 5.2%, Skoda 5.0%, Mercedes-Benz 4.3%, Opel 4.3%, Toyota 3.9%, Kia 3.8%, Peugeot 3.8%, Honda 3.7%, Citroen 3.3%, Audi 3.0%, Volvo 1.7%, Ford 1.6%, Nissan 1.3%, Cupra 1.0%, Suzuki 1.0% and the other trademarks 3.2% of the total.  

In the period of January- October,1 million 9 thousand 902 road motor vehicles were registered

In January-October period, compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of registered vehicles increased by 1.1% and became 1 milion 9 thousand 902, while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 13.3% and became 29 thousand 559. Hence, in the period of January-October the increase in motor vehicles registered became 980 thousand 343. 

In the period of January-October, the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 70.4%

Among 454 thousand 332 cars registered in the period of January-October, the share of gasoline-fuelled cars was 70.4% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 17.8%, hybrid cars with 8.5%, LPG-fuelled cars with 2.1% and electric cars with 1.2%. At the end of October, among 14 million 157 thousand 691 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 37.0% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 35.2% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 26.5%. The share of electric or hybrid cars was 1.0% and the cars with unknown fuel type was 0.3%.

Most frequent engine size was 1300 or less for registered cars in January-October period

Within 454 thousand 332 cars registered to traffic in January-October period, 31.9% had 1300 or less, 27.3% had 1401-1500, 24.1% had 1301-1400, 9.2% had 1501-1600, 5.5% had 1601-2000, 0.8% had 2001 and above engine size.

In January-October period 182 thousand 74 of cars registered were white

Within 454 thousand 332 cars registered to traffic in January-October period, 40.1% of them were white, 28.4% were grey, 11.5% were blue, 7.5% were black, 7.2% were red, 2.7% were orange, 1.4% were green, 0.7% were brown and 0.6% were yellow. (ILKHA)
