ND-PPI (2010=100) increased by 2.64% monthly, by 39.79% on December of the previous year, by 118.94% on same month of the previous year and by 88.82% on the twelve months moving averages basis in August 2022.
Manufacturing increased by 118.98% annually
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 116.48% for mining and stone quarrying, by 118.98% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 130.78% for intermediate goods, by 102.47% for durable consumer goods, by 104.51% for non-durable consumer goods, by 244.92% for energy, by 107.74% for capital goods, annually.
Manufacturing increased by 2.65% monthly
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 2.16% for mining and stone quarrying, by 2.65% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 2.68% for intermediate goods, increased by 4.11% for durable consumer goods, increased by 3.04% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 8.36% for energy, increased by 3.66% for capital goods, monthly.
Compared to general ND-PPI, lower annual change observed in 15 subdivisions while 10 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for wearing apparel by 79.89%, for tobacco products by 81.19%, for metal ores by 97.85%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 244.92%, for chemicals and chemical products by 144.34%, for other non-metallic mineral products by 140.32%.
Compared to general ND-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 7 subdivisions while 18 subdivisions were higher
The highest rates of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 8.36%, for metal ores by 2.34%, for tobacco products by 0.84%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for other mining and quarrying products by 5.84%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 5.61%, for other non-metallic mineral products by 5.11%. (ILKHA)
