Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said that two bodies have so far been recovered from the rubble of the building, which almost completely flattened.

“At least four other people were believed trapped inside, and operations were ongoing,” local rescue authorities said.

Building collapses are common in Nigeria - hardly a year passes by without cases. Bad workmanship, low-quality materials, and corruption to bypass official oversight are usually blamed for the country’s building disasters. (ILKHA)
