Türkiye: Non-domestic producer prices rise by 111.34% annually

Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) increased by 111.34% annually, by 0.66% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Monday.

ND-PPI (2010=100) increased by 0.66% monthly, by 36.19% on December of the previous year, by 111.34% on same month of the previous year and by 81.69% on the twelve months moving averages basis in July 2022.

Manufacturing increased by 111.34% annually

ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 110.75% for mining and stone quarrying, by 111.34% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 124.56% for intermediate goods, by 94.23% for durable consumer goods, by 95.60% for non-durable consumer goods, by 271.73% for energy, by 96.62% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing increased by 0.68% monthly

ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry decreased by 0.20% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 0.68% for manufacturing, compared with the previous month.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 1.15% for intermediate goods, increased by 1.53% for durable consumer goods, increased by 2.03% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 9.89% for energy, increased by 0.31% for capital goods, monthly.

Compared to general ND-PPI, lower annual change observed in 15 subdivisions while 10 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for wearing apparel by 71.92%, for tobacco products by 78.43%, for leather and related products by 87.78%.

On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 271.73%, for chemicals and chemical products by 136.60%, for basic metals by 134.31%.

Compared to general ND-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 7 subdivisions while 18 subdivisions were higher

The highest rates of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 9.89%, for metal ores by 3.55%, for basic metals by 0.87%.

On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for printing and recording services by 4.35%, for beverages by 4.07%, for chemicals and chemical products by 4.02%. (ILKHA)
