“Khayyam” is a sensing type with high imaging accuracy that is capable of shooting from the earth's surface in different visual spectrums with a resolution of one meter, according to Iranian officials.

“The launch of the satellite into orbit is the beginning of strategic cooperation between Iran and Russia in the space industry,” Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology (ICT) Eissa Zarepour said.

“Iran will continue efforts to develop domestic capabilities in manufacturing and launching satellites,“ he added. (ILKHA)
