At least 16 dead, 47 injured in Nicaragua bus crash

Sixteen people died, including 13 Venezuelan nationals, a Nicaraguan, and two yet to be identified, in the accident, national police said in a statement.

The victims were part of a group headed to the southern United States border region with Mexico.

The driver was driving the bus at an excessive speed when he collided with two vehicles on the Pan-American highway in the Estelí city of Condega. (ILKHA)
