Turkey’s car registration decreases by 3% in June

Regarding the vehicle registrations in June, motorcycles accounted for 41.7%, followed by cars 39.6%, small trucks 8.5%, tractors 6.6%, trucks 2.7%, buses 0.4%, minibuses 0.4% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.   

The number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 3.0% compared with the previous month

 In June, compared with the previous month, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 43.9%, 34.7%, 17.5%, 10.7%, 6.4% and 1.2% for buses, trucks, special purpose vehicles, tractors, minibuses and motorcycles while it decreased by 19.5% and 7.2% for small trucks and cars respectively.

The number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 4.8% compared with the same month of the previous year 

 In June, compared with the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 44.6%, 17.8%, 17.8% and 12.4% for motorcycles, tractors, buses and trucks while it decreased by 31.6%, 22.0%, 16.6% and 16.3% for special purpose vehicles, minibuses, cars and small trucks respectively.   

At the end of June, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 25 million 810 thousand 799

At the end of June, cars represented 54.1%, small trucks 16.2%, motorcycles 15.2%, tractors 8.0%, trucks 3.5%, minibuses 1.9%, buses 0.8% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

1 million 30 thousand 671 road motor vehicles handed over in June

Among vehicles handed over in June, cars accounted for 68.9% followed by small trucks 15.4%, motorcycles 9.1%, tractors 2.7%, trucks 1.7%, minibuses 1.6%, buses 0.4% and special purpose vehicles 0.2%.

In June, 43 thousand 285 cars were registered to the traffic

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in June, Fiat recorded 18.4%, Volkswagen 11.1%, Renault 9.6%, Opel 8.0%, Toyota 6.8%, Dacia 6.6%, Hyundai 6.1%, Mercedes-Benz 4.3%, Peugeot 3.7%, Skoda 3.0%, Honda 2.9%, Kia 2.7%, Citroen 2.7%, BMW 2.4%, Ford 2.3%, Audi 1.7%, Nissan 1.4%, Volvo 1.3%, Seat 1.1%, Cupra 0.7% and the other trademarks 3.3% of the total.          

In the period of January-June 581 thousand 330 road motor vehicles were registered

In January-June period, compared to the same period of previous year, the number of registered vehicles decreased by 4.3% and became 581 thousand 330 while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 9.0% and became 19 thousand 249. In the period of January-June the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 70.0%

 Among 267 thousand 958 cars registered in the period of January-June, the share of gasoline-fuelled cars was 70.0% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 17.1%, electric or hybrid cars with 10.5% and LPG-fuelled cars with 2.4%. At the end of June, among 13 million 971 thousand 955 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 37.3% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 35.5% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 26.2%. The share of electric or hybrid cars was 0.9% and the cars with unknown fuel type was 0.3%.

Most frequent engine size was 1300 or less for registered cars in January-June period

Within 267 thousand 958 cars registered to traffic in January-June period, 34.1% had 1300 or less, 27.0% had 1401-1500, 22.6% had 1301-1400, 8.2% had 1501-1600, 6.3% had 1601-2000, 0.8% had 2001 and above engine size.   

In January-June period 109 thousand 114 of cars registered were white

Within 267 thousand 958 cars registered to traffic in January-June period, 40.7% of them were white, 27.7% were grey, 11.2% were blue, 7.8% were red, 7.2% were black, 2.8% were orange, 1.3% were green, 0.7% were brown and 0.6% were yellow. (ILKHA)
