30 people injured after tour bus crashes in central Turkey

At least thirty have been injured when a passenger bus rolled down an embankment in Kayseri on Sunday morning.

According to local sources, the accident took place in the Sarıoğlan district of Turkey’s northwestern Kayseri province.

Ambulances, police, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene after the accident had been reported to the officials.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital in Ankara, local sources reported.

The officers were investigating how the crash happened.

Traffic accidents claim thousands of lives every year in Turkey. According to figures by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), 4,866 people were killed in traffic accidents and another 226,266 people suffered injuries in the country last year.
