In his message on Saturday, Haneyya highlighted the ongoing Israeli violations taking place in Occupied Jerusalem and at the Aqsa Mosque and called for taking action to curb Israel’s aggressive practices in the holy city.

“It is the Muslims’ first Qibla and third holiest Mosque (Aqsa Mosque), but Muslims cannot travel to it and enjoy the freedom of worship. The Mosque is still groaning under the yoke of the occupation, which seeks to divide it temporally and spatially or demolish it through carrying out underground diggings and attempting to impose new fait accomplis on the ground,” the Hamas leader stated.

He stressed the need for Arab and Islamic action to provide protection for Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque and expose Israel’s violations in the holy city.

“Our Palestinian people and all the Ummah’s peoples look forward to their leaders’ actions, and we hope that all the efforts can come together to serve the Ummah’s great questions, especially the issue of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque,” he underlined.

Finally, he expressed his hope to see the Ummah and its countries enjoying stability, prosperity and unity, in a way that safeguards their interests and central issues, most importantly the Palestinian cause. (ILKHA)
