“The Russian military attempted to install an occupation administration in Sievierodonetsk. There are still 7,000 to 8,000 residents living in an extremely complicated environment in the occupied city,” Oleksandr Striuk, Mayor of the city, said.

“Russia place soldiers and their officers in Ukrainians houses, that is, they manage the city as they wish," Striuk added.

After weeks of urban warfare and heavy shelling, Sievierodonetsk was “fully occupied” by Russian forces on Saturday. (ILKHA)
