At least 8 killed in attack in southern Mali

According to local sources, the unidentified gunmen carried out the attack on Saturday evening at a checkpoint in the city of Koutiala.

During the time of the attack, Malian troops were was conducting an operation in the Koutiala area, near the border with Burkina Faso, officials said. (ILKHA)
