Türkiye aims to be global health tourism hub, Erdoğan says

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the opening ceremony of Boğaziçi University Kandilli Science, Technology and Research Facility in Istanbul on Friday.

Erdoğan said: “I believe this facility, called Deep Technology Base, will make very important contributions to the research, development, and innovation ecosystem of our country. We see this technology base as a part of our national technology initiative vision. Türkiye, as is the case in every field, is gradually getting closer and closer to using its actual capacity in authentic research activities as well.”

Erdoğan stated that “Turkiye aims to become one of the most important health tourism hubs in the region and the world.”

“In the next year, we aim to get a share of 10 billion dollars from the global health market by serving 1.5 million foreign patients,” he said. (ILKHA)
