The meeting will be centered around the theme History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies.

The world’s top leaders from politics, business, civil society, academia, media, and the arts are set to descend on the Swiss mountain village of Davos, as the World Economic Forum hosts its first in-person Annual Meeting for more than two years.

This extraordinary event will take place at a watershed moment in history, convening nearly 2,500 leaders to tackle global issues and find solutions to the world's most urgent challenges including the ongoing global pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and geo-economic shocks as well as climate change.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international non-governmental and lobbying organization based in Cologny, canton of Geneva, Switzerland.

It was founded on 24 January 1971 by German engineer and economist Klaus Schwab. The foundation, which is mostly funded by its 1,000 member companies – typically global enterprises with more than five billion US dollars in turnover – as well as public subsidies, views its own mission as “improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas”.
