As part of the visit, Erdoğan and Tebboune will co-chair the Turkey-Algeria High-Level Cooperation Council’s first meeting in Ankara on Thursday, the Turkish presidency said in a statement. “During the Council meeting, which will be held with the participation of the relevant ministers, all aspects of the Turkey-Algeria relations will be reviewed and steps that would enhance the cooperation between the two countries will be discussed.”

The statement underlined that besides the bilateral relations, views on regional and international matters will be exchanged at the talks.

“It is also on the agenda of the visit that various agreements, protocols, and memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening the current cooperation be signed on the occasion of the visit, which coincides with the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries,” it added.
