Hamas also called, in a statement on Thursday, for popular mobilization for Dawn and Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in defense of the holy site and Occupied Jerusalem.
The Movement also expressed pride at the huge numbers of worshipers marking Laylat al-Qadr at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The group further said that the large Palestinian presence at Al-Aqsa came in response to the Israeli forces and settlers' attacks at the holy Islamic site.
The Islamic Endowments in Occupied Jerusalem earlier said that about a quarter of a million Muslims gathered to attend prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to mark Laylat al-Qadr. (ILKHA)
