A 5.2 magnitude earthquake hits eastern Turkey

The 5.2 quake struck the Pütürge district of Turkey’s eastern Malatya province on Saturday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 17:02 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.1550 degrees north and a longitude of 38.6433 degrees east, and at a depth of 6.72 km.

The earthquake was felt in the nearby provinces, including Diyarbakır, Malatya, Adıyaman, Tunceli, and Bingöl, the local sources said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. (ILKHA)
