The zionist occupation police were deployed at checkpoints in the morning hours throughout the occupied city, restricting the Palestinians' access to the holy site.

Zionist policemen were also deployed at the entrances to Al-Aqsa and checked the ID cards of the worshipers.

A group of Palestinian women and children were briefly held at Bab al-Amoud while heading to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

During the Friday sermon, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Salim called on the Palestinian people to intensify their presence at al-Aqsa on a daily basis during the holy month of Ramadan.

“Lets' make the holy month of Ramadan a month of reconciliation, unity, and victory,” he said.

He also pointed out that the holy Islamic site is the target of a rabid israeli campaign, which has no respect for its sanctity.

Earlier today, thousands of Palestinians managed to perform Fajr (dawn) prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque. (ILKHA)
