For the thirteenth year, the annual pre-Ramadan popular volunteer clean-up camp of Masjid al-Aqsa took place today under the auspices of the Islamic Movement in the Palestinian Interior 1948.
Thousands descended on Masjid al-Aqsa and the Old City of al-Quds and took part in a range of vibrant activities such a cleaning of the Masjid courtyards, maintenance of trees and yards, charitable initiatives, and children's tasks.
The influx of visitors also contributed to enlivening the markets of Al-Quds which have been struggling with the effects of previous lockdowns, a decline in tourism, and israeli Occupation taxes and fines. (ILKHA)
