Hope Caravan Foundation, an international help organization based in Istanbul, Turkey, has been continuing its humanitarian aid campaign since February 11 in Afghanistan, where more than 23 million people face acute hunger, including 9 million who are nearly famished, due to 2 decade-long US occupation.

After starting its humanitarian aid work in Kabul, the nation’s capital, the foundation distributed food parcels, bread, and clothes to thousands of families living in IDP camps in Balkh and Jowzjan provinces.

The foundation, which inaugurated two water wells in the Aynalmecar and Ernezer villages of the Char Dara district on Saturday, provided cash assistance to tens of orphans in the Akhtepe village of the Qalay-I-Zal district in northern Kunduz province.

Speaking to Ilke News Agency regarding their aid efforts in Afghanistan, Mehmet Nurullah Günaydın, the General Secretary of the Foundation, said: “We are now in a village in Kunduz. We are with our orphaned brothers and sisters. We provided cash assistance to them. May Allah be pleased with our donors.”

After the delivery of the aid, Mulla Cemal Çınar, the Deputy Chairman of the Foundation, prayed for the philanthropists who made donations. (ILKHA)
