During the phone call, UN Secretary-General Guterres thanked Erdoğan for his attempts to mediate between Russia and Ukraine, as well as for his diplomatic efforts and for his activities contributing to peace, the Turkish presidency said.
The call addressed international developments and regional issues, particularly the Russia-Ukraine war.
Erdoğan stated that Turkey was working hard in order for a ceasefire to be achieved in the Russia-Ukraine war and peace to be restored, and was making efforts regarding humanitarian aid and evacuations.
