UN condemns missile attack on Kurdish capital

“UNAMI strongly condemns heinous missile attacks on Erbil. Iraqis are called upon to stand together in the face of any act that violates Iraq’s sovereignty/territorial integrity,and/or aims to undermine stability/unity. Earlier on Sunday, twelve ballistic missiles launched from Iran targeted a new US consulate under construction in Erbil, northern Iraq.

The consulate was not hit and no US personnel were hurt, US officials said. (ILKHA)
