The US officials said there were no reports of casualties from the attack, which was allegedly launched from Iran.

“Twelve missiles targeted at the US consulate building in Erbil from outside the Region and Iraq, hitting different neighborhoods of the city. They were launched from the east, and no casualties have been caused by the attack,” the Kurdish counter-terrorism department said.

Iraq’s Security Media Cell announced that the security forces launched an investigation into the bombing incident that targeted the city of Erbil.

“These unjustified acts will be doomed to loss and the perpetrators will receive their punishment,” it added. (ILKHA)
