Many residents and activists were injured during the attack, including children and women.

A boy with Down syndrome was also attacked and brutally beaten by the police force, for only chanting Takbeer.

The boy was immediately taken to the hospital after suffering different injuries and bruises.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its crews treated 3 people injured during the attack.

The zionist forces also stopped and searched an ambulance while transporting one of the injured, the Red Crescent added.

The situation in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood remains tense for the ninth consecutive day after israeli right-wing lawmaker Itamar Ben Gvir set up an office on the Salem family property in a provocative move.

For several days, the zionist police have been blocking the entrances to Sheikh Jarrah and harassing local residents, supporters and journalists while providing protection for far-right Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir and settlers, who keep storming the neighborhood every day. (ILKHA)
