5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Armenia

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck near Shirak city of Armenia on Sunday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 21:25 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 41.0788 degrees north and a longitude of 43.9385 degrees east, and at a depth of 5.61 km.

The earthquake was felt in some Turkish provinces, including Kars, Erzurum, Ağrı, and Iğdır, according to local sources said.

There are no immediate reports of serious damage or deaths. (ILKHA)
