Turkey’s cabinet to discuss Russia- Ukraine tensions

Turkish Presidential Cabinet will convene at 15:00 on Monday under President Erdoğan's chairmanship at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

Growing tensions between NATO and Russia over Ukraine will be at the top of the agenda for the meeting, according to the Turkish presidency.

Erdogan's visit to Ukraine and preparations for the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will be evaluated.

Turkey's deepening financial problems will be on the table at the meeting.

The cabinet is expected to discuss the measures that should be taken against the Omicron variant of COVID-19, and the recommendations put forth by the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board.

The ongoing operations of the Turkish armed forces within the country and outside the border will also be evaluated at the meeting.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make a statement after the meeting. (ILKHA)
