In an Istanbul-based operation in 6 provinces, anti-terror police teams arrested 18 suspects as part of an investigation into the "judges and prosecutors house" of the group. The police continue the hunt for the remaining two suspects.

Among them were 17 lawyers and three executives of non-governmental organizations, officials said.

Allegedly, the suspects obtained questions to an exam for judges and prosecutors held in 2012 beforehand and distributed among their illegal network members in 2013.

Since May 2016, Turkey has classified the FETO organization as a terrorist organization under the assigned names Fethullahist Terrorist Organization and Parallel State Structure.

After the failed coup attempt in 2016, the government of Turkey blamed the group for the coup and authorities have arrested thousands of soldiers and judges who have links to the organization. (ILKHA)
